Cody Seevers is a decorated military officer, small business owner, coach, and now author. Raised in Ramona, CA, he was a competitive athlete in wrestling, football, and motocross, developing the resilience and discipline that would later define his career.
In 2009, Cody joined the U.S. Coast Guard, serving 10 years as an enlisted Operations Specialist before earning his commission through Officer Candidate School in 2020. Over his career, he has received two Coast Guard Commendation Medals, a Coast Guard Achievement Medal, and several other service awards. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Homeland Security and Public Safety.
Cody has been married to his wife, Blake, for 16 years, and together they are raising their two amazing children, Aislynn and Ezra, in Cape Cod, MA. Passionate about shaping young athletes, he coaches various sports teams his kids are involved in, witnessing firsthand both the rewards and the challenges of youth sports.
His book, Youth Sports Are Killing Me Slowly, was born out of frustration. Searching for guidance in the chaos of youth sports, he found no satisfying answers—so he wrote the book himself. His mission is to expose the flaws in the system and advocate for a healthier, more balanced approach to youth athletics.
Cody lives by the mantra: The culture you surround yourself with is the culture you will become. Through his leadership, coaching, and writing, he strives to create a positive impact on the next generation of athletes.
