
Eric Gnezda is an award-winning singer-songwriter and the creator and host of Songs at the Center, a TV series that airs on PBS stations throughout the country. On his TV shows, he features and interviews well-known songwriters, such as Janis Ian, John Oates, Ray Stevens, and emerging talent.
Based in Ohio, Eric entertains throughout the country, performing his own material that ranges from serious to humorous, at such notable venues as Nashville's Bluebird Café and other clubs.
His songs have been featured on ESPN, Entertainment Tonight, Car Talk, and NPR's All Things Considered. Also a keynote speaker, Eric inspires audiences at countless events for corporations, service, and trade associations. His anthem, "Everyone Wins," has been used nationally to promote the Special Olympics, while "Blossoms of Hope" has been a favorite song among cancer survivors throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Detroit-area DJ Phil Maq deemed his ballads, “Daddy’s Wheels,” about his disabled father, and “Separation,” commenting on a fractured America, two “of the best songs ever recorded.”
Eric is a recipient of the Ohioana Citation for Music Composition, and was named "Best Satirist of the Year" by Columbus Monthly magazine, which described him as "witty and caustic without being cruel." He was also a humor columnist for the Columbus Dispatch and an Emmy-nominated TV journalist.
Eric taught public speaking for twelve years at his alma mater, Ohio Wesleyan University, and earned his MFA from the Rainer Writing Workshop at Pacific Lutheran University.
