Kathleen (Danielczyk) Bowers currently resides in Berlin, Maryland. Kathy grew up visiting Johnstown often, as that is where her father's family lived, and heard all the stories of the flood. Her great-grandmother, Elsie Frum, was the oldest survivor of the flood and was 6 years old in 1889. Elsie was honored at all the Memorial Day celebrations, until her death at age of 108. Through all the visits, Kathy had the inspiration to tell a different side of the story.
