Larry L Little grew up in a small Central Pennsylvania town, with the Susquehanna River flowing on one side of his home, and the main Pennsylvania Railroad freight lines on the other side. He spent his entire working career (50+ years) designing, writing, and supporting computer software systems. He spent the first 40 years working with financial (banking) systems, and the final 10 years supporting outpatient clinical computer systems for a large hospital system.
From his earliest years, he was drawn to the Susquehanna River almost daily to spend his time in, on, under, or ashore of the river. His need to “know how things work” later applied to his computer analyst profession, led him to investigate how the river worked, from its flow, to the myriad of life forms to be found.
He has had several pieces published in local magazines, but this is his first compilation in book form. Since retiring several years ago, he has turned his attention to the writing of his memories and observations, passing on the wisdom of his experiences as a youth to a new generation.
