Leslie Mulford Denis was raised in Moorestown, New Jersey, like her distant relative Alice Paul. She wore many professional hats before becoming an author: university instructor of English, public finance administrator, university financial officer, property developer, and B&B owner in Normandy. After a stateside decade in Kennebunk, Maine, and the Eastern Shore of Maryland, she and her husband Laurent recently returned to France and are restoring the house and grounds of a century-old manor. She is currently writing her memoirs as a cookbook: every recipe has a story.
