Author - Matthew J Anderson
Dr. Matthew J. Anderson is an experimental psychologist whose scholarly interests focus on avian behavior and human-animal relationships. He has authored numerous scholarly articles and book chapters over the course of his career. His research on Caribbean flamingo resting behavior and efforts to answer the age-old question, "Why do flamingos stand on one leg?" have received substantial media coverage from around the globe.
Dr. Anderson has edited two books: "Tasks and Techniques: A Sampling of Methodologies for the Investigation of Animal Learning, Behavior, and Cognition", and "Flamingos: Behavior, Biology, and Relationship With Humans" (both published by Nova Science Publishers); and he has written/illustrated a children's picture book titled, "Pink Flamingos All Around" (Speckled Egg Press).
