Rebecca Titchner grew up in Bennetts Valley, Elk County, Pennsylvania. She graduated from St. Marys Area High School and holds a bachelor of science degree in Environmental Studies from Allegheny College.
For nearly a dozen years she was both a reporter and eventual editor of The Ridgway Record and The Daily Press. Since late 1999 she has been employed by Elk County as the county’s Recycling Coordinator.In 2018 she was recipient of the Champion of the PA Wilds Conservation Stewardship award.
Titchner is a singer, musician, and songwriter. Her poetry and nonfiction have appeared in several regional literary journals. She resides in Ridgway with her husband, two dogs, and three very old cats.
