Dr. Sherry Light, Ed.D., is an educator and children’s author with over 26 years of experience teaching emerging and early readers. Her work with young learners—and her experiences as a mother—deeply shape the stories she writes.
Her picture books blend science, emotion, and a love of the natural world, encouraging children to notice with all their senses. Through thoughtful storytelling, she creates books that nurture imagination, belonging, and a sense of purpose.
She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, daughters, and two beloved Brittany spaniels, Millie and Chloe.
