Wade Fowler is the retired editor of three weekly newspapers based in New Bloomfield, PA — The News-Sun, Perry County Times and Duncannon Record. He worked for daily and weekly newspapers for more than 40 years and is a past president of the Pennsylvania Society of Newspaper Editors. He has won Keystone Press Awards for investigative reporting, feature series writing and headline writing. His coverage of a funding crisis for Perry County’s public libraries won the prestigious media award from the Pennsylvania Citizens for Better Libraries in 2000. Fowler is a former vice president of the New Cumberland Public Library Board and former chairman of the Robert H. and Beverly Utley Fowler Foundation, which supports 501c charities in Central Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C. and is a veteran of the United States Navy.
