Sunbury Press x AEN Authors Connect with Readers at the Leesport Harvest Craft Show

Sunbury Press and the Author Event (AEN) is officially kicked off, and we are very excited to announce that we attended our first event this weekend as a chapter! This exciting weekend consisted of connecting books, authors, and readers at the 2026 Leesport Harvest Craft Show in Leesport, Pennsylvania.

Held September 19th and 20th at the Leesport Farmers Market, the annual Harvest Craft Show brings together hundreds of vendors for a weekend of shopping and community. The 2026 event featured approximately 300 vendors throughout the market's indoor and outdoor spaces, offering everything from handmade goods and seasonal décor to specialty foods, apparel, and more. Among those vendors this year was Sunbury Press, continuing its growing collaboration with the Author Event Network (AEN) to bring authors directly into communities and create new opportunities for readers to discover their work.

Bringing Books and Authors into the Community

Throughout the weekend, visitors to the Sunbury Press booth had the opportunity to browse a wide selection of books from across the publisher's imprints and genres. More importantly, readers were able to meet Sunbury Press authors in person.

Saturday's featured authors included Tory Gates, Terry Webb, and Marjorie Maddox, who joined the booth throughout the afternoon to meet attendees, discuss their work, sign books, and connect with new readers.

The event offered another opportunity for Sunbury Press and AEN to take books beyond traditional bookstore and literary event settings and introduce authors to audiences in a busy regional community environment. From conversations about individual titles to recommendations for readers looking for their next book, the weekend was centered on one of the most important parts of publishing: creating connections between authors and the people who discover their stories.

Growing the Sunbury Press x AEN Event Initiative

The Leesport Harvest Craft Show was part of the expanding Sunbury Press x AEN East Coast event initiative, which is creating additional opportunities for participating authors to appear at festivals, craft fairs, community celebrations, holiday markets, and other regional events. Through the partnership, Sunbury Press provides a recognizable publishing presence and a broad selection of titles while AEN authors have opportunities to join the booth, showcase and sell their books, sign copies, and interact directly with attendees.

Each event also introduces something different. Rather than limiting author appearances to book-specific events, the initiative is designed to meet potential readers where they already are and bring Sunbury Press books into new communities throughout the region. Leesport offered exactly that opportunity.

Thank You, Leesport!

Sunbury Press extends its thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth, browsed the books, talked with our authors, made a purchase, or simply took a moment to learn more about Sunbury Press and AEN. We also thank Tory Gates, Terry Webb, and Marjorie Maddox for spending part of their weekend representing their books, Sunbury Press, and the AEN community.

And this is only one stop on a growing calendar of Sunbury Press x AEN appearances. With additional community and holiday events ahead, we look forward to introducing even more readers to Sunbury Press authors and continuing to create opportunities for our authors to connect with audiences throughout Pennsylvania and beyond.

Stay tuned for more Sunbury Press x AEN events, author appearances, and opportunities to meet the people behind the books.
