Linda Cotton Jeffries grew up in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and taught special education for over thirty years. Retirement has provided her with plenty of time to write as well as travel. She and her husband had the good fortune to visit Australia and New Zealand before COVID hit. Since then, they’ve visited Aruba, Hawaii, the Pacific Northwest, the Southwest, and most recently Cambodia, Singapore, and Indonesia. More than 35 years ago, they lived in Indonesia with their older son and were especially thrilled to have the opportunity to return.
Jeffries' first two novels, We Thought We Knew You and Who We Might Be, were published by Fifth Avenue Press in Ann Arbor, Michigan. A hybrid press, they specialize in helping launch new writers in the Ann Arbor area. Sunbury Press then published Seeing in the Quiet and Picturing the Dark, the first two parts of the Audrey Markum, Photographer Series. Strong women, suspense and romance are the elements Jeffries most enjoy writing about!
