by Bill Foley
If you knew me, you would know how hard it is for me to write this book, as I never have been one to feel comfortable speaking about bodily functions or anything hygiene related, especially things that need to happen in private. Not sure why, it is just who I am and the way I am wired. Potty humor is not my style.
Nonetheless, what I want to share with you is so powerful, so impactful, and so easy to accomplish, that I will gladly step out of my shell and face the uneasy task of discussing, in public, a topic that makes me feel rather squeamish. But that’s okay, this is that important to me.
I don’t know how I have found my way to the knowledge that I’d like to pass on to you. I will say that it began very innocently after a friend told me about a TV commercial he saw, which led me to curiously (and privately) begin conducting Internet searches on some very simple and basic concepts about human digestive anatomy.
Life is funny like that; sometimes things just develop, and before you know it, you can have a totally different perspective, at any given moment, on anything you know or do. And sometimes, as in this case, shifting what to do within a routine ten-second timeframe can improve your health and well-being, thus changing your quality of life all for the better.
I call it the 10-Second Shift.
What I am going to share with you will not cost you anything; I will not ask you to make commitments that you cannot keep, nor will I ask you to radically adjust your lifestyle in any way. You will not need to buy gadgets, register for any programs, change your diet, take any pills, nor spend any of your valuable time doing anything differently than what you already do. Actually, I don’t care what you do, nor do I care who you are or what you are about, it really doesn’t matter to me. It has no relevance to what I will share with you. You can continue to be ‘you’ without interruption, and without creating any pretense. My proposition will not ask you to conduct an exterior makeover, but rather an interior one; therefore, no one will see anything different from what you show on your surface.
What I do feel relevant, though, is recognizing the stipulation that every single person walking the face of this earth, including you and me, has a need to partake in a particular, normal, human anatomical function on a regular, consistent basis. We all have this requirement in common. That much I do care about.
I am not a doctor, I am not from the medical industry, and I make no claim to having any medical experience in any way, shape, or form. I am a regular, normal person like you, simply one who has allowed himself to step ‘outside of the box’ and change a very accepted practice that is 100 percent the norm within our modern-day, Western-world society. More on that later, but for now just know that there are some things we do in life because that is the way we were taught to do them, and everyone does them that way, so there is no need to think that we need to do them any differently.
It’s like putting on a pair of pants: all persons do it the same way, because that is the way we were taught to do it by our parents at a very early age. Why put them on differently now? We won’t, we really have no reason to change, because there would be no benefit for us to do so. But what if I told you if you did change the way you put your pants on and it required no additional effort on your part, that there would be a rewarding and satisfying benefit for your pleasure? Would you change then? Of course you would!
The 10-Second Shift will ask you—either man or woman—to change the way you perform a routine, hygienic function, one that you already partake in just by the simple nature of being a human; you will just need to step out of the box like I did and learn a new twist on the procedure—one that will take about 10 seconds to complete. Can you be open to that? Of course you can!
I walk around every, single day with an amazing feeling emanating from inside my body.
It hasn’t always been that way. As a matter of fact, I was just like the rest of our population, so what did I know? Not much, I’ll admit. At least until I discovered the amazingly magic feeling that comes from having an emptied and evacuated colon. That’s right, I’ll say that again for you but in a different way: there is no better feeling that we as human beings can experience, at least in my opinion, than the sense of well-being that comes from successfully evacuating your colon—totally, completely, and on a regular basis. It is the most wonderful sensation, hard to describe actually, other than to say that feeling is believing, and you’ll just have to experience it for yourself to get a full understanding. In The 10-Second Shift, I am going to share with you the secret I have discovered, so you can capture that magic feeling for yourself, and immediately begin to improve your quality of life just like I did.
This “magic feeling” is one of life’s best kept secrets!
